I consider it 16 since SIO dropped in August.
By the time OOTW runs out of steam (and it appears to be doing well on the radio so far), it'll be, what, end of February?
But perhaps you're right. Idk.

RED could have been her best album if it was more consistent. Like the highs of the album are career highs imo

Looking at 1 single update never makes sense (unless it's huge). Overall it's pretty stable / going up a bit and I hope it goes up a bit more tomorrow.
New songs usually go down a bit during the weekend and increase during the week.

Those old members who are still trying to expect anything from Out Of The Woods are just trolling lol.
It's a 6th single ffs. At least it's still selling the album.

I always want new stuff, but I would prefer a Spring 17 release. She'll have the hype of a comeback.
2016 is too crowded. With Rihanna, Gaga, Katy, Britney, Bruno, Christina, Adele, Bey, Ariana, Miley, Selena, and Justin all having ongoing eras or eras that are about to start, she'd risk being overshadowed and forgotten, kinda like Speak Now when it basically was a non factor in comparison to LOUD, Teenage Dream, Femme Fatale, Born This Way, DooWops, etc. (Yes I know Speak Now outsold some but it's still culturally irrelevant in comparison to her other albums.)
I'd rather she rule 2017 all by herself.

Because people like Miley, Ariana, Britney, Xtina, Katy, Gaga, or Rih really have the power to overshadow her these days

1. Miley still has star power, her actual comeback is going to garner a lot of publicity and you know she's going to hog a lot of media attention with her antics
2. Problem was just as big of a hit as Shake It Off; Ariana is still upcoming.
3. Britney/XTina ok I guess
4. Roar was bigger than SIO. Cali Girls bigger than WANEGBT. Etc. don't act like Katy's singles wouldn't overpower Taylor's.
5. Rih hogs the airwaves. Even FFS and BBHMM ended up higher than some of Taylor's singles on the Year End chart.
Yes, Taylor is bigger than all of these ladies. But don't act like she's immune to being overshadowed by the other pop stars.
ESPECIALLY when they're all releasing within the same year. I'm not saying Taylor wouldn't outsell everyone with ease, but she sure wouldn't have the media presence and dominance that she had this year

Shawn Mendes(the twink who opened for some of Her US dates) might be getting a number 1 single in the UK before Her.
Why is She so local?

1. Everyone is over Miley's antics. She's not a threat to anyone.
2. Problem was not as big as SIO and besides, Focus is flopping anyway.
3. Katy only had two big hits last era. Birthday, TIHWD, and Unconditionally all flopped.
4. ANTi is quite possibly the messiest pop girl era of all time.

Do we really want her to compete with Katy and risk her being Applause'd, though?
Why not just release when no one else is rihleasing? It's the more logical option.

Boy I did not know 1989 boosted the egos of you guys this much. Obviously Taylor is a bigger force and sells more albums, but sales =/= impact. Speak Now is her least relevant album (aside from debut) despite outselling most of the people I listed. But they still have the capacity to be more culturally relevant than Taylor; all I'm saying is I'd prefer Taylor to have an entire year of dominance to herself, just like she did for Q4 2014 - Q3 2015.
