I think you should send a Help Request and the mods should look into this. It's not an extreme in which they let offensive comments about race/sexuality/religion, etc, unwarned, I have to say, but I feel like it's something the moderation team could balance a bit more.

And it's not like we're letting offensive or insensitive comments off the hook (on purpose - if we do miss any, it may be a genuine mistake, which can be rectified with a help request to bring it to our attention).
As for "not only when reports start coming" which ontherocks mentioned, there's thousands of threads on here, we can't be expected to monitor and referee every thread - that's why we have the report system and the help request system, so you guys can let us know when we need to step in.

Til a report gets cleared, it can take up to six hours and til then more warnable posts arrive with a quickness.
With all the respect for the work of the mods that you guys do here daily, some topics really need more moderation without even letting you know. Especially topics about race and xenophobia. It should be a given.
We all know that these topics end up being a mess here. And they are way off-topic, insensitive / offensive. It has nothing to do with the actual news like I posted before.
Just read the last two pages of the muslim woman that got thrown out of the Trump rally and you will see it has nothing to do with the actual news.
I mean, ppl in that thread even posted that it is okay to tolerate the KKK.
I have zero issues discussing actual news, but the tone is the key. But most of that is pure witch-hunt.
