This is true. Some people just have a harder time embracing Christina's incomparable talent!
Whether they like it or not, she IS one of the greatest talents pop music has ever had the pleasure of witnessing, loved and admired by the greats. It can be a hard pill to swallow.
The 1975 cite Xtina as an influence for their upcoming album:

But on their anticipated follow-up I Like It When You Sleep, For You Are So Beautiful Yet So Unaware Of It, due out Feb. 26, The 1975 are going in a ’90s-style pop direction thanks to an expanded pool of influences, from D’Angelo and early Christina Aguilera to Janet Jackson producers Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis.
Legend from last night's party for Linda Perry. She said she was recovering from the flu, but sang Mother anyway. Is this the first time she's sang it live? She sounds good.
"I'm here in support of Linda Perry," Xtina said before belting out a cover of John Lennon's "Mother." "I'm sort of just getting over the flu a little bit so I was hesitant but she's just one of the most incredible, amazing, genuine, raw, just gifted, insanely talented writers, musicians and artists." ... Hosted by Aguilera, Tobey Maguire, Perry's wife Sara Gilbert and music producer Kerry Brown, the party's crowd included Jodie Foster and her photographer wife Alexandra Hedison, Jessica Simpson and husband Eric Johnson, Ashlee Simpson, Evan Ross, Julie Chen, Aisha Tyler and Donald Faison.
But laughs aside, it was Christina Aguilera's pipes that stole the show. Remarking that she had been suffering from the flu, Perry's longtime friend and collaborator simply slayed on a sparse and powerful rendition of the John Lennon solo song, "Mother," which she called one of her "all-time favorites."
Xtina was at a Hillary Clinton fundraiser last night:

With less than a month to go before the Iowa caucuses, Hillary Clinton returned to Los Angeles on Thursday for another fundraising swing, including at evening event in which she was joined by billionaire investor Warren Buffett.
The $2,700-per-person event, at the Bel Air home of City National Bank CEO Russell Goldsmith and his wife, producer Karen Mack Goldsmith, drew about 280 people including industry figures such as Barbra Streisand, Christina Aguilera, Haim Saban and Berry Gordy as well as Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti, Sen. Barbara Boxer (D-Calif.), Gene Sperling and fundraising consultant David Wolf.
Legend picked a song from songwriting duo Justin Tranter and Julia Michaels, most likely for the new album:

Rita Ora and the mega-D.J. Calvin Harris recorded that first song soon after; Christina Aguilera and Kelly Clarkson picked two others from their first batch of five. “That ratio is insane,” Mr. Tranter said.
