I'll wait.

all you would need to do is go on RIAA check gold and platinum and see the results.
Did Michael Jackson/Prince cater solely to white people in comparison to George michael ? Did Whitney houston in comparison to Madonna and Cyndi lauper?
Are we saying that M.C. Hammer didn't outsell Vanilla Ice?
Did R. Kelly not outsell comparison to Jon B?
Did Lauryn hill serving 6x platinum in the fugees in the 90s when the beastie boys were not doing it in the 90s?
Did Lauryn hill cater to the white audience solely to go 8x platinum? It wasn't an urban album???
Or does the average "white" pop stars sell 8x platinum and above?
Is drake catering solely to a white audience and making strictly pop music when he goes 2x platinum? Was macklemore able to reach 2M plus sales? Both not seen as the toughest rappers and more commercial.
Both of Bruno mars' albums are 2x platinum but Ed sheeran hasn't gone 2x platinum?
are we saying beyonce's 2x platinum album catered to white people and wasn't on par with ariana grande, pink, katy perry?
Are we discrediting any black artist that has maintained their music in it's proper genre and has been able to outperform their competition while maintaining their sound.
Not everybody has to put out a starships and cut half their sales.
