I hope it airs earlier than the first season.

The finale wasn't even that great. The SQ one was way better (But this was better than SQ overall, so Balance I guess)
I'm just hoping S2 offs the dead weight (Jake, Maggie, Emma)

Mess. Besides the predictable killer reveal and the lack of deaths, the finale was easily the second or third best episode of the season (behind the bowling alley ep).
Also, you forgot Kieran @ dead weight.

And the awful killer herself. Those three things are a pretty big issue when Scream was promising a third act bloodbath, a shocking killer, AND a decently written killer.
As for dead weight, Kieran's actor is one of the better one. His issue is that he's a little underdeveloped and used. That's easily fixable (give him a good storyline and some interactions with Audrey, Brooke, and Noah). Emma's an idiot, Jake is horribly inconsistent (and acted), Maggie's an idiot and horribly acted. Those are a lot harder to remedy. Seth is more of dead weight than Kieran is

But the finale was still very good if we are comparing it to other episodes. It's at least a 7 or an 8 if we are ignoring the lack of kills and the killer reveal (though I thought the dock fight was fun). The
sheriff's death
, Brooke's chase, and watching Maggie and Emma get cut up and slashed made up for the disappointing bits of the episode. I don't know how you rate the episode one number higher than you gave episodes 5 and 6 which were awful filler, but that's just me.
I guess Kieran's actor was decent. I haven't seen him in anything else (I don't even think 'Smoke' (his acting debut) was ever released) but I think of him the way I think of Nico Tortorella from Scream 4 - bad in Scream due to poor material and bad writing (Amandeus and Nico both got bad writing in Scream) but probably decent in other works (Nico was flawless in The Following). At this point I just want to see Kieran/Maggie/Jake gone. I think Seth is the biggest dead weight character even though I liked Bobby Campo's acting (I never thought I would say those words in my life.) and I thought his sub-plot was interesting. Emma made some poor decisions last season but I do genuinely like her. She's not amazing but I think Willa is a terrific actress and I liked her writing when she wasn't a schizophrenic character for one episode (like when she felt guilt for Rachel's murder and her scenes with Will).

Kieran acting like nothing happened after his dad was brutally murdered...
I'm gonna need some more Bobby Campo in season two, thanks!

Same. I don't know how they will/can bring him back since he changed his name and most likely got fired and moved away.
Lowkey here for the first episode of season two being 70 minutes and them getting rid of the dead weight known as Kieran, Jake, and that china doll Maggie with no cooking skills.

It's probably more midde of the pack. For a finale, it's a huge let down. And Brooke's chase, while tense, was horribly stupid. And Emma rushing to save Maggie after two death traps couldn't have been more facepalm worthy. I was waiting for her mom to die. Agreed on the killer. As for eps, I mainly just know that I like 2, 3, 4, and 7 the best.
I've only seen him in this, but he's amongst the best ones. And the difference between Trevor and Kieran is the former has actually BAD writing (sitting around and making angry faces all film with next to no character development). The latter's writing is fairly okay, just not tons (mysterious new guy stuff, charming nice guy boyfriend for Emma, some stuff with his dad). It's not great, but it's far from awful.
Seth is not bigger dead weight than Maggie, Jake, and Emma. Though yeah, not sure what you can do with him. But those three are actively draining.
Emma made f***ing horrible decisions that resulted in at least two deaths. OF characters I like, no less. Willa was good, but when you're the heroine in a slasher series, you need brains. It makes zero sense to survive a killing spree when you can't even think since, you know, you need some survival skills and the ability to outsmart a killer. And the schizophrenic writing was also heinous, so.
Her writing over Rachel was actually pretty sh***y. You've got her aplologizing while also shifting guilt and not really taking responsibility: http://whatculture.com/tv/scream-12-...sode-2-2.php/7

I actually thought 2 was one of the worst. Besides the opening, Emma/Audrey/Riley/Noah, and the final call it just felt very blah and it had some horrendous scenes. To be fair, it's better than the ****-heap of episodes 5/6/8.
I don't think Kieran is AWFUL. He just got a lot of bad writing. Trevor got decent material in a deleted scene and I thought his scared acting in the third act was okay but him and Kieran are equally as bad to me.
If you are talking about Emma causing the death of Riley, I thought it was kinda dumb at first but re-watching the episode multiple times after it aired it's not really that stupid. Emma thought Riley was safe considering she was at a police station and she even called her to tell her to stay put. If anything, it's Riley's fault for going outside. I also know you liked Will so I'm assuming you mean Emma tripping the wire causing him to get split in half. I thought Emma and Will were easily as dumb in that situation. Piper/Audrey said what Emma would do would be the real bitch/the cause of his death so she should have looked at her surroundings but Will's legs were not tied to the chair. He could have easily tried to make himself tip over. She wasn't perfect but I would still be fine with her sticking around if she doesn't make dumb decisions again next season.
Didn't Emma say she would take full responsibility to Audrey? She told her mom about it and told Audrey she would take full responsibility I think.

I liked the phone call, solid character development, before a lot of people wnet to hell. 5 and 6 were mainly kinda fillery. Not awful.
What's an example of this so called bad writing? As said, he's not great, but his issue is a lack of things to do. He does nothing offensive when he's actually onscreen,
Don't care. When someone is trying to murder your friend, the first thing you do is tell the person "Hey! The killer is coming after you." Emma didn't even call the STATION to warn them. If she'd done either, Riley would have had a cop on her and survived. So yes, Emma is an idiot and she is responsible.
In the bowling alley, while everyone is being attacked, Emma goes off. On her own. To play a tape. On the loudspeaker. Even if you argue her stupid self assumed she was safe, it puts every friend of hers at risk.
How was Will stupid in his death scene? He was tied up and gagged. He couldn't do anything. At all. (I'm assuming we're meant to be believe he's physically incapable of moving the chair an inch) Not how I'd define stupid. On the other hand, the killer told Emma point blank she'd kill him. Her reaction was to blindly rush in and not look around for .2 seconds to see the damn trip wire. Hell, the fact Will was there, with no killer in site, and with the farm equipment not moving closer... it's excruciatingly obvious more is going on. Not only that, she stops... AFTER starting the tripwire. Which is even more insane
Emma then repeats this mistake when her mom was taken hostage, showing she learned nothing from Will OR the Sheriff's death. It's a miracle mommy wasn't gutted on the spot. There' also going to meet the killer while telling absolutely no one, the fact she never questions Piper's big surprise, the fact she never suspects Piper despite literally everything pointing to her, etc. This girl was certified stupid.
Did you read the article? She says that and then instantly shirks it with things like "Even if the video barely mattered tbh"

I wish we got some filming announcements. Do you think Season 3 will be of them in college like in Scream 2? Since Season 2 is supposed to be their senior year of high school.

Wasn't Piper practically leaving hints to Emma of her being the killer? I mean the coffee addiction, her mentioning of her father's death? I mean ffs

I agree with Repo that Emma was really stupid with her actions.

I don't know how intentional it was, but seriously. I couldn't believe a dead daddy didn't raise a single red flag. Especially since I think there was the possibility of a BJ kid circulating at that point. Aside from that, why is Emma trusting a woman who's career is based around taking advantage of and profiting off of people's deaths instead of her closest friends like Brooke or Noah?
Another one I forgot to mention was not calling the cops in the finale because the killer threatened to murder her friends and family if she did.....despite the fact the killer was already trying to kill them anyways so they'd just make everyone safer.

Starting soon
Emma was stupid but not as stupid as Maggie. And I just plain hated Will.
The most iconic moment of the season was Brooke in the freezer. I loved that scene so much

Is Emma's mom returning? If yes, i swear i'm not watching anymore. I physically hate her.
The only way i'm tuning in is if she dies in the first scene in a very, VERY brutal and gruesome way.

I just hope the killer will be able to murder more than 4 people next season.
