Single sales this year are probably gonna start serving 2004 vibes. They were doing okay until they were just catastrophically flushed down the toilet midway through 2015 as streaming took over. Even a bunch of throwaway moderate hits were easily going 2x platinum less than 2 years ago, and now only huge smash hits reach that landmark. Will we ever see another 5x platinum single after Jello is done?
