Like who is still listening to La La La (Brazil 2014) or Can't Remember To Forget You in 2015 (or any other time in 2014)? Who is listening to Focus to give it so many views on YT when it's been unanimously decided that Princess Ari failed all of us? Js
Exactly.

Are you trying to tell me that Focus was bigger than Earned It in any way? Hell no.
VEVO Views have never been the go-to for determining what's bigger / more remembered. VEVO views have always been disproportional.
Judas having more views than Born this Way, The Edge of Glory, and You & I when it's literally more forgotten than all of them.
Children are also extremely dominant on YT. There was a nursery rhyme medley that reached a billion hits in under two years, and that's also why Ariana manages to notch so many views on her videos.
And Judas has more views than all of those songs likely because it's the only watchable video from that bunch.
And kids worship Ariana hence her massive streaming figures everywhere. Why single out YouTube?
Because Spotify isn't like that?...
Spotify streams:
Earned It - 325,201,536
Focus - 94,601,727
One Last Time - 210,827,373
Love Me Harder - 223,569,687
Problem - 293,368,119
Bang Bang - 331,245,178
Bang Bang is her only song with more streams than Earned It, because it was actually a bigger hit. Spotify usually always aligns up in that area correctly.
We could literally post all day on VEVO views disproportionate to what was actually the bigger hit / more remembered.
I was watching an interview with Meryl Streep and she talks about the quote people yell at her the most is ''the dingo ate my baby'' from Evil Angels I wanna watch that movie now
It's overly simplistic to say, more youtube views = bigger hit.
Everyone already said why. When someone wants to show someone a song (for whatever reason, not exactly because they like it/are going to talk about it more/are going to buy it), they post a youtube link, not a spotify stream youtube is iconique
Even Mariah's last recurrent airplay leak was better than Britney's.

Just making sure you know before you look dumb as usual comparing a 128 show residency's total gross to an 17 show residency's total gross.
