YouTube views are very fishy and innacurate. Take a look at Britanny's YT numbers and Spotify numbers and there is a landslide.
Avril Lavigne has more YouTube views than Beyoncé, Britanny, Christina and she has been irrelevant for years. Also, wasn't one of her videos delated for fake views?
Plus when you click on a video, even if you don't even watch it completely, counts as a view. I think that doesn't happen on Spotify.
Shakira and Ariana's YT views prove that YT is not a valid form of representation, they are prone to spamming and falsification. Spotify and other markets, such as Apple Music, are much more valid and reliable.

Spotify > YouTube and its fake views.
They cleaned out fake views like 2-3 years ago, and Britney's VEVO lost like 2 million views total, while most others were losing 5-10x that amount, and one girl's lost 100x that amount iirc.
Advil is actually a huge force in Asia (according to her stans; not sure if true) and they tend to favor streaming their music as opposed to purchasing it.

Spotify > YouTube and its fake views.
It's not fishy, it's geographical. Spotify plays are mostly from the Anglosphere and Scandinavia. YouTube is a lot more global, but disproportionately popular in Latin American countries.
VEVO Views can be inflated, and are always random to what is the actual truth.
Are you telling me that Live It Up was a bigger hit and more remembered than Hold On, We're Going Home and Shut Up & Dance?
On-Demand Streams always tell the truth:
Live It Up: 22,471,729
Shut Up and Dance: 294,657,909
Hold On, We're Going Home: 229,824,276
There's not 1000 instances where songs that didn't chart have more streams than Top 10 / #1 hits like VEVO. But Britney has bad recurrent airplay, sales, and etc so it makes sense you cling to VEVO.
Like who is still listening to La La La (Brazil 2014) or Can't Remember To Forget You in 2015 (or any other time in 2014)? Who is listening to Focus to give it so many views on YT when it's been unanimously decided that Princess Ari failed all of us? Js

Um. Hispanic people...?
Yall know they are cultlike followers. It actually makes alot of sense why its latin artists who have views like that.
People do too much on Godkira, she is more global than all our favs. Literally people in remote countries even know who she is. My fav needs to do a FIFA partnership next era
YT is insanely popular in Latin America. Click on any Spanish star's YT page and they're racking up hundreds of millions of views on every video like it's absolutely nothing (which is why J. gLObal's flops rack up so many hits as well).
Even Prince Royce (maybe the biggest flop of all-time) has a video with like 560 million views.
Youtube has been around longer, is more commonly used, and is far more important than both spotify and apple music. It's the main way to access music from most parts of the world (especially 3rd world countries hence Shakira's views). Shakira is like a legend in 3rd world countries that are kinda out of touch while Avril is a legend in Asian countries that are kinda out of touch. Their views are not really a mystery.
