I think a debuting gay artist like Adam Lambert could work in today's culture now. People just naturally dislike him from their earlier homophobia during a time when it was more okay to be obviously hateful. But I've also never liked his music much soo.
His tendency to screech doesn't help make him likeable either
Have anybody seen Mad Men? I'm on S1 rn and at first it was really intriguing, but now it seems kinda boring and the fact that everyone is so unlikable doesn't help. Does it get better or nah?

Part of the appeal is how slow and methodical it is. It moves at a snails pace but it gives you these characters and develops them fantastically and you get to watch how their lives change and how the culture around them change. It's a great show.
