It's the last two letters in your link. Delete the "?1" and try it again.
Anytime you want to link a gif or jpg/png file as your avatar, make sure there's no letters/symbols after .gif / .jpg /.png. It'll get read incorrectly.
It should work (as I did that with the address bar and it still linked me to your image(.
