I was 11 when If U Seek Amy was out and I remember finding an article about disgusted parents asking for it to be banned on radio or something and I was so confused and then found the YouTube comments explaining it.
It's so overrated, like everything on that terrible album.
GODcus still gets played at circuses. My favorite was attending "The Greatest Show on Earth" (some circus that they hold annually in New York) while the old clown lady sang a mashup of GODcus and Oops!...I Lost Custody Again. ICON.

Unless she's going the route of Adele, her act requires a big production and numerous artistic collaborations with videographers, promoters, managers, choreographers, etc. And she spent the latter half of her career alienating people who know other people in their respective fields and can bad mouth Gaga.
Wow. I think she's done. Her best hope is to make like Beyonce (who scared off songwriters with her thieving ways) and find an unknown, talented writer/producer like BOOTS to collaborate with. Which means she'll have to carry the bulk of the artistic vision. But we know she lacks modest censorship...so it'll probably lack appeal w/ the GP and...wow...I'm just going around in circles.
Basically, Gaga is gonna be a jazz/cover artist from now on.
If U Seek Amy is the worst single from Circus. Womanizer is the best but all three are really not among her best works. Shattered Glass was the Inside Out of that era, a snubbed opportunity.
