It's just the way it works nowadays I guess. Labels don't invest in artists like they used to do in the 90s and early 00s. They'll throw a song out and if it sticks, awesome. If you can't follow-up, they toss you to the side.

Yeah I read that it was taking off in several countries. How that song performs will determine what happens with her tbh

To be honest her situation reminds me of Pia Mia. Do It Again was a massive hit in Australia, NZ and the UK. Tinashe seems to do well in those territories too, unfortunately I don't see the US being here for her as an artist. But, she could still be pretty successful by jumping on features/writing songs for other artists.
