Well, she has a point with what she's saying if someone is attacking her on social media; however, she possesses jealousy (dreaming of Drake's sales), bitterness (knowing that her overpromotion and stunts don't materialize into the success of others that don't need to do those things and still outsell and outgross her) as well.
She's too cocky to show intimidation but I feel like the american idol thing was a representation of how she turned intimidation into being loud and overly Nicki.
She's a hustler but I feel like she thrives on telling half truths.
For instance, the way she was able to command 12M for AI after only being big for a few years was amazing but she got that because she sold out to pop and with one big pop single and underperforming album she got there and the ratings and viewership went down.
Mariah brought the credibility of an actual icon and legend. I feel like she also used her twitter followers to say she connects with the youth and in reality people were tired of her.
Yet she has put those stats in her lyrics as if she didn't hustle that 12M based on pop sellout songs and twitter followers only to bring down the ratings.
Also, I remember she had a lyric about people hating her one year and loving her hte next on her recent album. It was almost as if she forgets she rebelled against hip hop telling her to stop with the gaga with no vision antics until 2013 where she caved in and toned down her look and kept it hip hop...but puts out a lyric as if she didn't change her image to get the hip hop community to like her again.
She does a lot with half truths and irony and not so much on self awareness.
In any regards, tone down or hyped up the numbers continue to leave much to be desired.
