MTE, the only reasonable explanation as of why New Romantics wasn't the last single is because they wanted to keep pushing the album (New Romantics is not on the iTunes album version).

I like to drag demoo as much as the next gay but it's not like Revival's sales are all that great either. I love Selegend but she's had 2 radio smashes (one that is still currently slaying) and she can't even make a 100k gap between her and the whale that gets 1/3 the airplay she gets?

"Out of the Woods" should have been released as the first single, then Taylor Swift would have had
four number ones. Because "Shake It Off," Blank Space," and "Bad Blood" would be #1 regardless.

Timing and single choices really is a science.
