beyonce did not release any singles to radio or itunes, perform @ any award shows, cancel appearances, announce album title & artwork, or send her fans on a wild goose chase. she simply toured all year & filmed her visual album....and released when everything was finalized & ready.

You right, Beyoncé went on a new world tour performing old music & a couple of new songs that didn't make the cut on her new album. And she scrapped a whole album during that tour. It wasn't really messy, it just didn't really make sense lol.
Rihanna kept us entertained all year with 3 songs, 3 music vids & a few TV performances. It definitely was messy & confusing (and frustrating), but the rumors and fan theories made it 10x worse.
Also, y'all are acting like Rihanna cancelled 100 performances this year when the only two performances she's cancelled were VSFS & the Brits....the latter being cancelled cause she was sick, and she was never announced anyway.
Album delays happen to every artist at least once or twice in their career, the difference is Rihanna & her team launched an era and they (allegedly) postponed everything right when the album was supposed to drop. That's why it was messy. It's all business
