They're still playing it on pop radio and giving it adds. It IS a current single and still doing nothing.
And how does releasing pop singles not change his audience? If his songs getting spinned are pop or dance, then he's not going to be attracting urban audiences to his album. Plus his hits this year have been features on Nicki Minaj and Omarion, both of which got POP exposure.

But...he does attract Urban audiences to his albums because that is the audience he mostly caters to. I don't understand what part of this you're failing to comprehend. For every pop song he releases he is realeasing like 3x as much Urban material. Him being played on pop radio DOES NOT CHANGE HIS CORE DEMOGRAPHIC. He appeals to a wider range than some Urban artists but in general, he is still widely considered, an Urban artist.
I am not saying he DOES NOT DO ANY OTHER TYPE OF MUSIC BUT URBAN MUSIC. Just becuase he is an Urban artist doesn't mean he doesn't try other things but generally speaking. Like 85% of his discography is Urban/geared toward the Urban audience.
Did you really just try to name Nicki Minaj, the rapper, and ****ing Omarion, the same Omarion that is on Love and Hip Hop, as evidence of "pop" exposure...
