Her team can't possibly release and album and not have at least 2 or 3 radio friendly songs...surely they know better than to gear towards urban radio and instead head towards pop and rhythmic.

I don't get why they would veer away from pop though. If she feels like she needs to prove something then I'm starting to have my doubts.

At this point, no matter what she tries to prove to an urban audience they won't be won over.

It's has little to do with her content. Fancy went #1 on urban.
It has to do with a white woman dominating that genre for a period of time and it will never be received or embraced long term.

Her best bet is to go with pop and rhythmic crowds.

Maybe she's depending on streaming to make up for the lack of pop.

Yeah it's so confusing but it just feels like she's trying to prove herself.

As for the Max Martin thingy, I guess it's either a fake rumour, scrapped material from earlier this year before PG flopped, their work didn't make it to the tracklist or he's just a songwriter and not a producer like Bebe Rexha.

basically what i've been saying...I agree. It's weird but I feel like this will either go well or go bad. NOt really an in between but I could see them blending genres.

They just need 1 or 2 radio friendly songs.

I don't think they'd release an album without any hit potentials when they have a lot riding on this, right?

Yeah I feel like she knows but the little tidbits don't show that.

I have a hard time believing she and her team actually think urban would accept her (which doesn't say much as urban music right now is horrid).

Should be interesting to see how this pans out.

If she goes in the wrong direction, there is no other chance. That's the risk she's taking i guess
