I still have the sneaky suspicion that Gabourey Sidibe will ruin the last 2 episodes even if she may not be present all the time. Thank God they didn't get Neil Patrick Harris.

for S6 I don't want any characters that are supposed to be famous or rich. just want like normal people. and I want at least next season to be as "real" as possible. by that I mean like nothing supernatural or anything like ancient blood viruses or witches.. but I wouldn't be upset it there was. and i want an ensemble cast like this season. as far as the overall vibe of the season goes (horror/humor wise) I'm okay with it being like Hotel's.
just some of my thoughts...

I do really think we need to bring it back down a little bit next season. AHS has always been weird, but this season is all sorts of extraordinary crap like ghosts, "vampires", mass murderers, the addiction demon, the mattress people etc. I think we need a more "realistic" season like Murder House next year where it's almost back to basics (with Lily as the lead of course).

Hotel was quite uncomfortable to watch in the first two episodes, because of it's gory, brutal and dark nature. something AHS didn't achieve since Asylum for me. But since episode 4 it's gotten campy again and lost its track.
Especially SWR and SGR, although great episodes, are too campy and not horror in the slightest.
I get that they want to have funny moments but sometimes it seems like a parody. Murder House for example had lots of funny moments for me but it was never unnecessary or out of place.
I hope Season 6 is really more dark and rough, although I would think they would make a lighter season again, because they seem to get the best ratings.

I agree entirely with you guys. Coven did Supernatural stuff right, and most of FS was ok, but Hotel has really overdone it and become over-the-top with all this crazy, unrealistic, hard to believe supernatural stuff. We need real, like able, human characters that people can relate to. Basically, exactly what the posters above said. MH, A, and C still had supernatural and crazy events, but they had raw human characters (witches included) that we either cared for or loved to hate. FS was a hit or miss, but there is not a single character I care for in Hotsk because they're all dead, vampires, horrible/disgusting people, or all of the above. I couldn't care any less who dies and I don't hate anyone because they're good to hate--rather, because the character development Ian great and the characters simply suck.
That being said, I do enjoy this season and can't wait to death it without breaks, cuz I know I'll like it even more

i agree with you, for like the first time.
i love hotel, it's the coolest season, by far and my second favorite in total. it's just not something to root for. that's also why i predict the last remaining episodes to be boring. (kinda like the MH finale)
the promo for battle royale looks like it could be the 5th episode, but it's the semi-finale.

let's hope so. although hotel was a let down in that area, it's still an improvement to Freak Show.

I never watched AHS for horror. European trashy art-house movies like The Human Centipede, Serbian Film and others never scared me so it's quite pointless to look for it in AHS so the show never disappointed me in that area But I miss creepiness from MH and Asylum.
As long as it doesn't bore me as FS, Devil's Night and The 10CK, I'm ok.
But there should've been at least one good main character to root for I know Liz is good (relatively) but she still took a part in Cortez's horrors.
Characters are not developed enough. We still don't know why The Countess named herself like that and will never probably. Ryan probably thought that it sounds fierce so named her like that Donovan and Iris not having surnames and etc.
Like they shouldn't drop little details like those.
Oh, and since there's a pattern next season definitely should be in past.
MH (present) > Asylum (past) > Coven (present) > FS (past) > Hotel (present) > Season 6 (past)

im also not really scared but im kinda on the edge of my seat with the right movies. and ahs did that in murder house and asylum and in the beginning of hotel. and nearly everyone wants that back but yet they don't do that anymore.
we know too little about liz to root for her. we know little about anyone.
its mainly because its a real ensamble cast this time and we sometimes need 3 episodes to see something that would happen in 1 hour. (example: iris tries to kill herself but donovan saves her, they go to ramona in the same night for the revenge thingy and they needed 3 episodes for that. )
alex timeline is also tragic. you could sumher whole 12 episodes plot up in 2 sentences.
same with will drake, whatever finn wittrock character, iris, ramona, sally too
season 6 will be an prison in the past.

That means John is basically the best character. His story was on point from the beginning until the end.
And yet everyone declares 'Devil's Night' as worst episode. Clueless people.

No. John is one of the most inconsistent characters.
He was great till episode 6 when he became crazy. in episode 8 we learn that he is the killer and he goes fully crazy and remembers everything only to be the loving dad again in episode 9 and 10.
btw. auf amazon kann man freak show uk import kaufen und bei manchen ist wohl auch ne deutsche tonspur dabei. vielleicht willst du es ja riskieren.

is anyone else kind of disappointed with the whole mattress thing? All the teasers about it and there was literally 2(?) episodes with it referenced
Did we even find out why that thing in episode one was half decomposed when it came out the mattress?

yeah, me too.
they probably had a bigger role before they rewrote stuff, especially because gaga was to sew naomi campbell into one in the first episode or something.
i think sally injects them something, thus her name hypodermic sally, which was also thrown over board after the rewrites.
