Both "is" and "are" can be considered acceptable for most collective nouns, depending on where you live.

The prequels are moreso made for children than anything else, but it is interesting to see at least once. I enjoy them but a lot of people do not. Not to say that the original trilogy had amazing acting but the prequel trilogy is kinda bad aside from Liam Neeson, Ewan McGregor, and Ian McDiarmid. Poor Hayden and Natalie. In other news, the newest movie is the best acted movie in the saga.
