Star Wars is generational, every single generation of the past thirty five years loves them. There is a reason that the crowds at the movie theater have been a mix of the elderly, middle aged, young adult, teenagers, and children. It's simply the most beloved franchise of all time, hence why it makes so much money every year.
Speaking of money, instead of dropping as most movies tend to do during midweeks, TFA actually went up last night instead of going down. You can tell that the general public just loves this movie.
