Perhaps you don't get it so I'll explain it clearly.
Till it happens to you is a song by lady gaga. If she had the power and her name had value it should have had no problem at least reaching top 10. Heck even top 15. beyonce achieved this.
to expect it to go multiplatinum is not reasonable...to expect a song from Gaga AFTER she "got back up" with C2C to reach top 10 based on her fanbase and power in her name is not out of the question.
the result: didn't even reach top 20.

Gaga didn't release an album in 2015. She released in the 3rd quarter of 2014.
Yes, Britney's pop single was bigger than TIHTY. That I won't deny and in saying that it's not like the gap is that big either.

Which one received "woMAN" of the year from Billboard despite having no stats to back it up, had "rave" reviews for being associated with a horror story and put out music with tony bennett.
This didn't help people become more interested in her "classic" catalog

You do realize that when Beyonce reached her peak in the Top 15 with that feature she was probably selling ~5k-7k more copies than TIHTY that day? You guys keep clinging on to Runnin's peak on iTunes but they both ended up flopping even after Runnin' was serviced to U.S radio and rihjected.
And no it wasn't MADE for that sole purpose. The song was written for the documentary to spread awareness. The song was put out by her label/management to snag a nom? I know Britney fans are almost on her level of comprehending things but even you know that labels don't give a **** about the meaning of a song.
