This makes no sense to me. They invested 11M and she made 3M back in royalties. Artists don't see royalty checks until after the label and others take their share.
I don't get how you're laughing about her still making 3M royalties in today's climate, especially when her album sells are fairly poor.

My first pot brownie. I only had 1/8 of it. But 10 minutes in, I couldn't feel a buzz, so I ate another 1/8. It goes straight to your system. 30 minutes later my head was spinning, my face and ears were hot, my heart was pounding violently, I could feel the prickly nerve endings everywhere on my skin and I literally lost control of my limbs. A complete "Is this the real world?" experience. It's been almost 24 hours and I'm still in the clouds.
