She benefited from the digital era more than any other popstar. The yearly releases and frequent amount of singles per album was a huge plus for her sales, had she come out in this era she would be a streaming monster and probably not much of a single seller considering single sales are dead

Anyways, endless collaborations is the answer. Just take a look at all of her biggest hits, they are with Eminem, Drake, Calvin, Jay Z and other huge artists. If you take away her collabs she has actually sold on pair with the other girls.

But i didn't mean to drag Rih, she is a Queen too, just Gaga already trumps Rih when it comes to average albums or singles sold WW.

Which means that she can very well be ahead of Rih's 10 year career when Gaga gets to her 10th. And Katy won't really touch Rih's album sales in her 10th year, but maybe she will in her 8th album (vs Rih's 8th when she releases Anti).

Releasing 7 back to back albums was risky. She didn't burn out until this era. So it's amazing that she had the success she achieved. Collabs and all.
