What I would have done differently would be to start the movie off with Han already having met Finn along his travels and with Rey already having the millennium falcon and BB8 in possession. Because it is her only prized possession, she would have hide the ship under the sand which would mean why Han couldn't find it. She finally escapes with BB8 in the millennium falcon which leads her to Han. She develops a relationship with Finn and when she's fighting Kylo, Kylo severely injures Finn which makes her find the force to defeat Kylo.

I would change the beginning of the movie, but the ending is where it's at.

I know you have your opinion but you're beginning won't work AT ALL. This would raise more questions than what was shown in the movie.

Agreed even if Star Wars always been about jumping straight to things, right into the action without introduction, here it needed something more detailed to explain everything.

Yep! I saw an article where Rian Johnson, Episode 8's director, has talked to Carrie as well as Mark for their roles in the next movie.

Just got back and really enjoyed it. I feel very overwhelmed, partly because I'm just happy there's a new trip into this universe but also because the movie just had a lot to take in. The last hour is incredible.

Daisy Ridley is an instant favorite, BB-8 is an awesome addition. Harrison's comedic timing is on point, he made the crowd chuckle a number of times. Chewbacca and C3PO were less obnoxious with their noises and mannerisms and were just great, especially Chewie. Carrie did amazing. Not sure what to think about the villain(s) though.

I really feel like this movie lays down a wonderful path for the next two, I just hope their directors don't screw it up. Would've felt much more secure if JJ did the rest of the trilogy too.
