It's intentionally child-like, she's releasing the emotion and grief that she's felt towards her mother since she was five years old. The whole song is pretty much like that, it's hardly deep on the surface, but with a little bit of thought processing, you realise it's pretty clever and intentional.
If you want proof she can write about the loss of her mother in a poetic and emotional way, listen to Mer Girl.
Oh I already know what her good songs are. This is a vile one. American Death's good songs are basically Hollywood, DAD, Intervention, XStatic, Nobody Knows Me & Love Profusion.

Madonna when she puts intellect into her songs >>>>>>>>>>>>
Imagine if A list stars like Rihanna and Taylor had Beyoncé's amount of promo then surprise release like she did, 15M minimum at least would be sold, I can't believe this gimmick was wasted on someone who struggled to reach Unapologetic sales
It's still funny how Beyst's stans claimed her 21 era was here and then the album doing Unapologetic/Prism numbers with that gimmick
And the way she performed for 15 minutes at every big award show and stans still complain she didn't promote. And all those single releases to try and keep the era alive. Even a re-release.
Rihanna dropped Diamonds/Stay and hasn't been heard from since.
