But yeah I had never heard of Calvin Harris until WFL. Feel So Close got big in the U.S after WFL I believe. That was the first time the U.S (outside of the gheys cause c'mon who else is checking for Kylie?) heard of him.

Rihanna's manufactured "I'm a real artist" image was taken too far this time and came off waaaaaay too try-hard, when she normally comes off really natural. Paul McCartney and Kanye West in a black and white video, singing a pretentious song. The general public saw through that in a heartbeat, and ignored it like they do with all of Gaga's pretentious, try-hard singles and videos.

No one had a clue who Calvin was in the U.S. before We Found Love/Feel So Close came out. He and David Guetta are really the only DJ's the average American could recognize by name. Most would probably find it weird that there are in fact DJ's who have huge followings and legions of fans like a pop star would.
