Justin Bieber got away with a small comeback because his music was actually catchy... and he released the only three good songs on his album as singles, as opposed to Nick Jonas, who refused to release the smash-hit-in-waiting, "Teacher." It really doesn't matter how racist or obnoxious you are in the music industry, as long as you release good music. Why do you think Kanye West still sells? Anyway, Justin Bieber lucked out, he's not really consistent and his songs are mostly trash. If he had released bad music during this era, following his racist video and after his public childish tantrums, his career would have definitely been over, because radio would have ignored him, One Direction would have won, and Justin Bieber, having such a big ego, would have probably overdosed on drugs or little monstered himself with a box cutter, unable to cope with defeat.
