True, I feel like LL would have been a good choice for the fall if TIHWD and Birthday hadn't both flopped consecutively. Dark Horse kinda messed up the entire plan they had for the era, and then the Birthday video completely killed it

It's all so corny. Like the sappiest corniest lyrics every over these airy, r&b-ish electro beats on every song. The only difference is the tempo changes a few times, but the album is literally 20 of the exact same song.

Literally all she had to do for the birthday video was film a video in one room where her and a bunch of other hot girls danced around in their bras and **** and had 1 guy star in it and it would be went #1.

What a disaster the back end of that era was.

Justin's only job was to fool the public into thinking that he's changed, and it worked. Purpose is platinum and has three smash hits off of it already while NO Direction's album is collecting dust on Target shelves and no one is noticing or caring about their era.

He's still a major douche, but the PR management worked tremendously.

The fact that she thought a longer than usual video would work just because of her streaming power (she thought it wouldn't affect her views like it affected Gaga's) but after Birthday I'm sure all of her music videos won't be more than 30 seconds over the song length. It maybe would have been worth it if the parties were real but wasn't it confirmed that all 5 were staged?
