I think making it predictable is what it needed to win back its audience after the prequels. It's setting things up for Rian Johnson to really take the series into an interesting and new light. That is until Trevorrow takes a shite on it.

For now it's called Mad Max: The Wasteland and Furiosa is not in it. She may be in one of the later sequels though.
