She's very much like Madonna except she started much younger, so that she's almost 20 years into her career and still under 35 She's also got some Streisand in her which will allow her to go more gracefully into her 40s and 50s (not to take anything away from Madonna, who is an undisputed legend).

Starting younger actually helped her. She was able to use her youth to her advantage, become a legend and then continue on as a grown adult woman already established. Lots of artists start young but end up nowhere.

One of the things that worked to her advantage is that she was able to set herself apart from the bubblegum pop trend of the late '90s/early '00s as a real singing/dancing diva of the old school variety. Xtina tried too, but she wasn't as successful at it as Bey.

She also has a real brain for business. According to the Sony leaks, the ST surprise release was all her idea, and they were ecstatic with the sales (they were super nervous that it would backfire).

I wouldn't say Xtina is HUGE. Like, her team still has enough faith in her that they said they rejected a Vegas residency (per her manager), but she hasn't been huge since Beautiful.

I guess I'm just nostalgic for Legend X Burlesque was bigger than most of her generations albums this decade so...(except Beyonce obvs)
