The tickets went on sale literally 4 months after the era ended and all the damage was done. People were already put off by her months before the tickets went on sale. ARTPOP sucked and she was a mess, thats the main reason it underperformed.

Well, yes but the same is also true of BTW and it still was successful. The reason it flopped was because BTW heavily damaged her brand. If ARTPOP was released as the follow-up to TF/M it would have been a lot more successful than BTW
