CASINO mogul James Packer will mix business with pleasure when he brings his singing sensation girlfriend Mariah Carey to Australia for their first time as a couple next week.
The Aussie billionaire and his pop diva *partner will celebrate New Year’s Eve at his Crown complex in Melbourne — where Carey will perform for 1200 partygoers — before heading to Sydney to spend the holidays with their kids.
“I can’t wait to get back to Australia, I have so many of my friends and fans there and the country really means so much to me,” Carey told The Daily Telegraph yesterday.
“To be heading over for New Year’s Eve with James and to be able to put on a performance at Crown, it is incredibly *exciting. Australia really will be the place to celebrate in the new year and I am counting down the days.”
The global glamour couple are currently in US ski resort Aspen celebrating Christmas with Carey’s four-year-old twins Monroe and Moroccan. But they will trade the winter wonderland for an Aussie summer when they jet into Melbourne on December 31.
Carey will set up straight away for her New Year’s Eve performance, bashing out the big numbers at Crown until the countdown at midnight, while Packer enjoys the show from the *audience.
