I don't know what's so terrible about being a label puppet. Be a self-aware label puppet. Britney Spears knows she's a label puppet, and
literally doesn't care. She just wants to make her money and go home to her kids, like Adele. Katy Perry is a label puppet, she's not as self-aware, but she's awake
just enough to use the industry to accumulate a $280 million dollar net worth. Taylor Swift, Justin Bieber, Nicki Minaj and Miley Cyrus are oblivious and not self-aware. They think they're in control when they are really being controlled and don't really know it. Lady Gaga should go back to being a label puppet, at least she will be self-aware this time around and actually have a few hits and maybe even a good video (she hasn't had a good video since "Bad Romance").
