It's like this:
-Let criticism of Beyonce come from Taylor, Katy, or Gaga stan, the arguments are mostly about receipts.

-Let criticism of Beyonce come from a Britney or Rihanna fan, the bias argument will be invoked simply because of the history between the stanbases.

Same goes with Gaga/Madonna, Katy/Gaga, Taylor/Katy, etc. it's all just fomo stan politics.

Please be unlike your faves gaga and beyonce and don't copy and paste the argument I gave to you 15 minutes ago and pass it off as your own. Whew, i guess stans do follow their faves. Even if it wasn't, even if she was always covered up. Since when is speaking about beauty standards suddenly left field? It's literally all people have talked about this decade and the last one. She's refusing to be seen as weak and basically celibate following becoming a mother. And she was criticized for it in the press, so it was a risk and it did come back and bite her. The whole Pretty Hurts video was also risky because she is denouncing not just beauty pageants, but the view of basically all visual media towards women (and men, but mostly women) and how their appearance affects almost everything that happens to them. That is risky because a lot of people will make the argument that a lot of Beyoncé's success is down to the way she looks and displays her body.

Girl stop it, I can't handle more of this 2nd hand embarassment, you are a disgrace.

Beyonce album 1: not the greatest but solid...FILLED with so much taken from the past.
album 2: rushed, fun for the moment...filled with so much taken from the past just using lyrics that she didn't write to make it modern. She even admitted to this on the walmart collector's edition which had a 2 hour dvd attached with it. I was a stan so of course i purchased.

era 3: she tried to be more pop. It worked. Watered down quality such as single ladies but with a gem like halo...that said it wasn't original or bringing anything new to the table either.

era 4: Personally I think is her best work to date but it is FILLED with 80s 90s and a 70s r&b reference/derivative.

Mind you, her first 2 eras had 70s 80s and 90s filled references and derivatives as well but in era 4 she FINALLY got it right

I won't comment on BEYONCE because i only heard it once or twice and forgot. I can say that visually the most original parts are the more basic ones but there were a few videos that reminded me of Ciara's lovesexmagic, gaga's applause and a rihanna vibe/video.

Bottom line: Beyonce is talented, beautiful and a great performer.
Arguing about how people are having hits now because of her is silly. Either
1) you are copying and pasting the propaganda media has spewed
2) you don't know your music history as it relates to pop and r&b
3) a little of both
