It's really strange to me that she a) launched this while the album is still incomplete, and b) waited so long to see if Sia had anything else she liked.
It's sad that I wouldn't even be surprised if it's not out by the time the tour starts. That would be illogical, which fits everything she's done so far
Anyway, idk about you guys but I definitely have no interest in this diary anymore. When something unlocks I'll check out the minute long video but I don't really care when it opens.
Since she's still in the studio working on new material... Perhaps she scrapped everything she's been working on for the past 3 years, and created all brand new material in the past few months, consisting of all tropical house and trap
I think the album has been finished since october and that what she's recording is for her next album. I mean, she knows this is going to sell 1k first month at best, so I can see her already working on a new album to be launched also next year. Back to the Loud-TTT-Unapologetic pace.
I understand this is her first album from her own label. I understand that this is likely a very deep reflection of her true self and we'll finally be seeing songs that Rihanna wants to show us, not her label wanting a quick hit (I see you Right Now). Even silly songs like BBHMM reflect how she truly feels because she was f***ed over during the Rated R era.
But she has to realize that "art" (or whatever the hell she wants to call this) is never done. If she wants to wait on her album because one thing doesn't sound right, I got news for ya, babe: I'm never 100% happy with my final result. Our "art" is ever-evolving, just like styles or music we love. If you want timeless, make timeless music that you love and release it. Everything is always stuck in some era. So fall in love with your album, don't worry about the future or evolving music styles and release the damn thing. Be proud of what you've created in that moment and we; the NHEVI, will know that it's timeless.

I agree.
There's nothing wrong with perfecting your work but some things aren't going to be perfect.
There will be people who won't like the album, and that's fine.
She's acting like this is her last and final album she'll ever do. (I hope not)
I really do feel like the reason for all this back and forth delay is because it's her own label now.
Since the ANTI bedroom has sand and is chaotic I think it'll represent the sound of the album. Also since it has sand there will be tropical and island influences. I also think it'll be a dark album with some songs that have intense dark beats and dark beats in general (think Follow You by Chvrches). At least I hope
Rihanna should have picked up on the tropical house trend before anyone else. I mean she's from the Caribbean and she's done house music before , so it would be her perfect medium.

I would love a sound like that on ANTI. It would be amazing. If only... .

She'd have to come up with something extremely fresh, because Azealia ate this sound already. But, it was never mainstream, so... I guess she could've pulled it off. Especially considering she made things popular that was already trendy for years underground.
Rih is so stupid tho, bitch could've taken Cheap Thrills and release it a month ago or so. I wish the whole album had that sound, like that Sia song, Watch N' Learn, No Love Allowed, Man Down... etc + something trap, like Promised and BBHMM. Pretty Nonsense can get out tho.
