Except Kim has a reality show and Rihanna has a team of people trying to make her into a pop singer. Outside of that everything that can be said about Kim pretty much applies to Rihanna. (Except Kim is a good businesswoman, makes her own decisions, etc.)

Sure, but at the end of the day Rihanna is producing a product that people want (like Kim sure), but unlike Kim, it feels more transformative and necessary.

I guess that's Kim's biggest issue. She feels unnecessary in the larger context. Coverage of Beyonce or JLaw may reach nauseating levels, but they feel necessary. They play vital societal roles, and they stand for something aside from themselves.

Is she? Or is she just the face of it? Because Rihanna isn't "producing" anything realistically. And in retrospect, the same could be said for Kim and KUWTK, which people clearly enjoy.

Sorry, it does negate the fact, when she isn't the one making her own major business decisions. She is not her own manager. Anyone can book and get naked for a photo shoot, that takes no business skills. Anyone who has seen that show can tell Kris does the real work behind the scenes, while Kim sits around and moans and complains while taking pictures.

Welp. Good point. But the GP doesn't know that.

And I used Beyonce and JLaw cause they get the kind of overexposure Kim gets, but without the major pushback (i.e. internet filter to block out anything related to them).

When people ask, "Why is Kim famous?" They know why (she's a successful media personality), but they don't think she deserves it. Kim being famous for being Kim is still a concept people have to get used to.

The Jenners tried gunning for Queen Kim but they failed! Caitlyn's show flopped hard in ratings, Kylie is pretty much an Instagram model and Kendall was the main attraction for the Victoria's Secret show yet the show saw a 30% decline in ratings. No Armenian blood, no curr.
