Siren era
Following the success of the Youth era, Reese rushed into the studio with Max Martin and Alchemist to record her sophomore album. While her debut album, Youth, was pure bubblegum pop, with Sirens Reese went a more urban route like she had wanted to from the very beginning. The lyrical direction was quite different as well, with Reese ditching the whole love and sunshine girl next door portrayal for that of a grown up sexy seductress.
All 5 singles from the album went #1 (Her second single, Yours, becoming the best selling single of all time), from Get None in August 2014 to Siren in December 2016, tying Michael Jackson and Katy Perry for the most #1s from a single album. The album debuted and peaked at #2 in the US and WW, and went on to sell 960k copies WW. Shortly after the album release Reese embarked on The Siren Tour, with 148 dates WW the tour grossed $257M in total.
