There are only three types of people that think Drake is good:
1) 13-20 year old guys who think his music is deep
2) 16-24 year old girls who use his music as background audio to their instagram posts
3) Gays who want to create the illusion that they have a diverse taste in music
Outside of these three demographics, nobody cares about him.
Even though I didn't like the Billboard Greatest Rapper of All Time list (because Tupac wasn't on it) but I found it funny that they put Kendrick on the list with only three albums (yes I count Section 8) but Drake didn't made the cut. I wonder why?
Yeah, that's the problem. Kendrick has good music, but it's not anything to actually have on repeat everyday. Like one user said a few days ago, "I can't even imagine listening to the whole TPAB album again ". He just doesn't know how to make the music addictive.
Sure everyone is going "Omg...he's getting REAL on these tracks" the first time they listen, but are they listening 20 more times? His music isn't really something to listen to all the time.
Drake is an icon of the millennial generation, literally everyone listens to/likes him. He's a cultural icon and doesn't have a single demographic which is why his songs actually have impact
Yeah, I listened to TPAB the other day but it was kinda boring, I wouldn't listen to it again (except for King Kunta, that's the jam). And I could have Hotline Bling on repeat all day.
