People don't understand that this is the reality.
People KNOW she's not known for her vocals.
What made her the legend she is today is that she overcompensated for that weakness.
Her performances were one of a kind memorable and legendary.
Her music was one of a kind iconic and game changing
If she comes out with songs that sound like someone else or something that anyone could do then of course they are going to give her flack.
She no longer showed much interest and kept herself up.
It's no different than when Mariah tried to do it with loverboy, Madonna tried to do it with btch I'm madonna etc.
These artist like britney made it so that the industry wouldn't be the same without them.
When Britney and team decided to put out material that's iconic, one of a kind and unique to any song or artist out at the time, then she will be fine:
Baby one more time
crazy
Oops
Lucky
Stronger
Slave
Not a girl
overprotected
Toxic
Everytime
Gimme more
Piece of me
Break the ice
Circus...I guess womanizer

if u seek amy
3
Till the world ends
Scream and shout
None of the songs out sounded like that song or were unique and iconic like these songs.
Except till the world ends. It's the generic one from this list that sounds like Chris brown's yeah 3x.
Pretty girls showed the GP don't want nonsense from her. It also showed the radio would try to push it as it got added alot and spun alot in curiousity play. The song is crap which works for some artists but for Britney, they will not settle for less than great/iconic.
Had she released I II wanna go o o as the first single she'd be in a bad position then.
Hold it against me was different, unique and could have been iconic had it been pushed. then they went with generic till the world ends which is iconic so it saved the era
