We are catching up on AHS (I'm on episode five) and it is.. a huge improvement from the last season? All of the characters are so much better than Freak Show. The writing is low-key terrible but cheap fun. Good horror mixed in.

I knew you'd love it! Yes! I personally like how it's so depressing and optimistic at the same time. It's very well represented by the second theme song.
