Good for it, she still can't pay her bills and her music still sucks TO ME (YR) and not a 110 on metacritic will change that. Carly's music is not the reason she doesn't sell. Not when Loose releases the same style of songs and sells more than everyone not named Adele. She just doesn't have star power nor built a career outside one massive hit and another minor one.

Charli had a hit and bombed so maybe you're right with her. Marina gave up pop stardom after EH. Lana had one massive era and another era with 1/6th the success, based on her name alone.
