4 is where she corrected the wrongs of B'day taking old school sounds but she actually did a great job with it.

Beyonce it is what it is.

Thus far 1.5-2 of 5 albums are good to great albums.

Beyoncé is a one-super-smash singles artist.

All her albums are *saved* by one super smash every single time. Irreplaceable, Single Ladies kind of stuff that radio plays into infinity, as an album act she is so lackluster, which makes the mistery as to why is she so "big" with awards and public perception even greater.

that said, I can count 3-4 good songs on Booty juice which is why it's her worst album IMO.

diversion/deflection tactics won't take away from the fact that while 4 is a great album and Beyonce is a good album the other 3 are decent at best and many of the songs just didn't stand the test of time.

I must admit even though I was a stan during B'day it was interesting to note that the album took awhile to sell 3M and that's after a re-release.

I honestly was expecting it to get 4x platinum based on all the singles and airplay but it didn't happen as i anticipated at the time.

Still wanted flaws and all, kitty kat as singles to replace two others that did nothing for the era

I do remember how I am sasha gimmick era was about creating "big songs" which is why they used sasha as a gimmick because it had no actual theme.

They wanted that era to cement her as an icon. Which it did.

too bad the album as a whole was subpar.

I remember a few stans only liking Ego and a few other songs.

I didn't buy the album because i didn't like the gimmicky quality of a woman that just got married to her long time boyfriend making a song that had nothing to do with her but was a song that woman could relate to.


It was a smart business decision but I just didn't like that.

I probably would still be a stan today had she served '4' songs in I am fulla gimmicks.
