All the major pop girls that will be releasing within the same eligibility period she has already bested at 2012 grammys and theres nearly 0% chance for a novelty act to have a mammoth impact within the next year.

This isn't about who deserves to be more respected, love, it's about Grammys. Adele has 10 of them, and she'll upgrade that count to at least 15 in about a year's time.

Then why did you bring up respect in your previous post? Mariah was widely respected and loved during her Daydream era. Adele doesn't quite have the vocal or musical range though so it will be interesting to see how long she will remain at the top with her monotone style. The grammys do love rewarding safe boring music though so I won't be terribly surprised if she wins another 5 this year.

Adele herself wouldn't even dare. Tread lightly. Mariah wasn't critically respected because she was stuck in a marriage with a record label tycoon who had ties with the Mafia, and the Grammy committee couldn't stand him. Chill the **** out. Mariah was beloved and she still is. Adele will never be on that level, critical acclaim or not.

You say it's not about who's respected but Adele being more respected than Mariah seems to have come up in the thread.

I agree that some people take Adele more serious because she is different to the pop girls because she doens't look perfect and she looks like a normal woman
But this post is too much, she is really talented

It would kinda make me happy because not nominating her is the only way to stop her from leaving with the same 6 awards she won in 2012, and she simply doesn't deserve all of that again.
