What if "25" was snubbed at the 59th Annual Grammy Awards?
Like Mariah Carey's 'Daydream" at the 38th Annual Grammy awards? Would you have a meltdown? Would the world end? Lettuce discuss gworls.
Disclaimer: This is not shade towards the Elusive Chanteuse Mariah Carey, just want your opinions on this matter since the Grammy's have been snubbing so many great artists in the recent years.
It won't be.
How big was Daydream for you to compare them like that?
Huge. It spawned 3 #1s (one of them STILL holds the record for most weeks at #1 and another one of them was one of the first songs to ever debut at #1). The album itself is certified diamond.
25 is bigger though because it'll end up selling close to the same amount in a much shittier sales climate.
Well I would be just fine lol.
The album is OK it's not bad, it has a couple of interesting songs but it's far from perfect. It definetely deserves a Grammy for vocal performance cause her voice sounds amazing, but that's it.
She can have a dozen of nominations, but they shouldn't actually give her more than one. She's already gotten a ton for a similar (but better) album, so no need to bore everyone with having the same exact thing happen twice.
It probably won't, but, I think they would attract more people's attention if she was (As in getting nominated in multiple major categories but losing all of them.).
