I'm getting such "The Simpsons vs. Family Guy" vibes with "Gaga vs. Madonna"

-Gaga debuts; She's seen as a Madonna copycat
-Gaga starts delivering great material (BTW), while Madonna's fails miserably (MDNA)
-Gaga starts following a different path that separates her from the Madonna's comparisons
-Gaga succeeds. Madonna wants to follow that path but she lacks the requirements to be like Gaga (ARTPOP references, acoustic performances, etc.) and is seen as tryhard.

I must say that both shows are ****** nowadays and are kinda flops
