For example, four of last years five golden globe original song nominees did NOT go on to get oscar nominations.

I've been saying this for a while but pop songs typically don't get nominated in that category at the Oscars (though they've made exceptions to that rule over the past couple of years - probably so they can get bigger names to attend/perform).
Golden Globes tend to go for more popular choices to nominate while the Oscars go for songs most people have never heard of. The fact she didn't get a GG nomination would have been telling because usually the GG go for the most mainstream options and Gaga is as mainstream as you can get. I don't know if that makes any sense?
But I didn't know the song was ineligible though. Did they release it too late or something?
