'For You' (a non-promoted rushed-out singles collection) charting higher than a certain peer's heavily promoted studio album on the Billboard 200 Year-End List. Talent always wins
Nope. Revival outsold Confident WW according to Mediatraffic's latest update (where Revival is still charting btw unlike Confident) despite Confident being discounted for a long time (Revival was only discounted for Black Friday)
Just one of many example of "talent always wins" this year along with GFY outselling Demi's entire era combined WW, SOL being a top 10 hit unlike any Confident single etc.
Talent always wins
No, it didn't. Revival sold 350K. Confident was at 341K last week and it sold 14K in the US alone this week.
Either way, this thread is about talent winning. What talent does Selena have?
Despite having mediocore lyrics and nothing apart from her voice compared to her peers, she truly shines thanks to the sheer talent that she poseses with her voice

Nope, Confident was at 321k last week. Keep ignoring sales corrections though!
Selena has numerous talents- singing, dancing, acting etc. and judging by the iTunes charts right now (as well as the Billboard Hot 100's top 10), talent always wins

I'd hope so. That album was released at the beginning of the tracking period, so it had a full year of charting (and still only made it to #142, tragic. ). I wouldn't call that "winning".
While the other album only had two weeks in the tracking period.

And yet 'Revival' managed to chart higher than 'For You' despite being released around the same time as 'Confident'

The lists just go on forever but each and every one of them prove that talent always wins
One extra week is a lot when we compare two weeks to three weeks.
Demi is global anyways.
Are you sure?
Revival outsold Confident WW
GFY outsold CFTS WW (actually it outsold the entire Confident era combined WW)
SOL outsold Confident WW
The only one country I can think where Demi sold more records this era is Brazil (although both Revival and Confident are platinum there so they're probably equal)
Not this thread turning into another Demi vs. Selena stanwar. That's the exact opposite of a "talent always wins" situation because either way, the winner has little or no talent.

Nah, honestly, this is a demonstration that talent will not always prevail.
