I'm not sure if they've even done it in the past though...(only selecting top 3) so the cover might not be related to the rankings which for me is odd because billboard is really about measuring numbers.

She is still within the top 10 artists of the year. They chose her because they wanted her, clearly.

I would have thought Taylor, Ed sheeran, Drake or The weeknd (the biggest breakout star of the year) would cover because Billboard is about measurement of stats.

I'm not sure how that is criticizing billboard. to me, that decision just makes me think that the others were not going to do an interview.

Then again, I'm not sure if past cover artists were directly related to those that ranked top 3 in that respective year.

I haven't criticized Nicki so how am I trolling. I was over it this summer thanks to Doc's ha tea.

I don't do that. I like to bring up interesting points which I have and no one was able to dispute that.

It does make me wonder what Billboard's process is for these selections because they named gaga woman of the year over someone like Meghan/taylor even Selena.
I'd be curious to know how they select woman of the year and the cover artist for the billboard year end issue tbh.

What? I don't cry about people hating Iggy. I know the opposite of love is not hate it's indifference and am fully aware why people dedicate time to iggy...that said, I actually did say she was cute so I did pay the billboard cover a compliment. It was just interesting to see how they selected the cover.

Well she was on the hot 100 from Jan to early oct. had 1 top 10 hit 1 top 15 hit and numerous top 40 hits this year.

what slw is saying may be low-key shade given his Nicki thread, posting history, but the headline has me scratching my head too. What mold did Nicki brake this year? I'm thinking that the cover story gives the cover headline more context, because if you are among those who believe that Gaga's WOTY award was odd, then this Nicki cover should strike you as strange too. Like, especially for THIS magazine. This isn't RS. BB is about the stats and charts.
