Everytime something similiar happens, you should force that member (or any other member) to donate some money here :

I agree that Greasy posting that pic (I assume it's that Jamey kid?) was too far but to give it 3 points and a SYG ban when stuff like that gets posted in SYG all the time is a little harsh in my opinion. I feel like the mod that did it might be letting stan bias cloud his judgement

What's with this PC police on SYS lately? What's "offensive" there is not the same of what's "offensive" elsewhere. That's the whole point and essence of the thread.

And I don't particularly think it's relevant if you feel that way, because it's very cut and dry and I'm the one who deals with it on a regular basis. GreasyBruce, the user who was warned, seems to have decided not to appeal this decision further, but I'd be happy to defend it to absolutely anyone, including the other moderators and Athens.
I really question your motives in attempting to call into question the seriousness of a fourteen-year-old's suicide in what appears to me to be an attempt to rile up a moderator on a pop forum, and one you have very publicly (sometimes unintentionally publicly) "disagreed with" in the past.

It's a one thing to post offensive comments about some popstar and it's different thing to make fun of her 13 year old fan who commited suicide for being bullied.

I didn't see the post so i'm sure what the content was. But I don't see anything wrong in talking about that in the context of the popstar. Some of us don't really have any emotional attachment to that kid or his particular situation so  Besides, it's just comedy, we can't censor things because one might be offended. Freedom of speech is essential to our society.

You can drag a pop star or their fanbase without bringing dead children into the mix. You don't have to relate to his situation to see that or have a moral compass.

And you can't say anything you want on ATRL, just like you can't say anything you want in today's society. Freedom of speech isn't a thing.

I was under the impression that any appeal would be rejected. I mean, I'd like to be let back into SYG. I didn't post anything malicious, it was just a hyperlink. There was no reference to anything shady related to the person I hyperlinked to (nor was the photo itself "shady"), so I do think an injustice has been done upon me. I now know that I will be warned and banned for doing it again so I'd rather just avoid the trouble, even if I think it's unfair, that's what I meant by "point taken!", not "I accept this current decision and won't protest". Two weeks seems excessive is all.

Why are you getting so aggressive?  People use Rihanna's dead grandmother to drag her in SYG, people are using the rape of multiple young girls as a way to drag Nicki to name a few examples that go un-warned.
People in SYG taking things too far is not a new thing, and I'm not denying that post deserved points. I'm just a little puzzled at the fact you'll ignore other stuff like the things I mentioned yet come down hard on things related to your fav

Am a bit disturbed by the fact that someone would think this. But ATRL is a private website so it can have whatever rules it wants. I've never said anyone is infringing upon my freedom of speech.

There are laws, which restrict your freedom of speech. You can't say anything you want.

How do you even know if users got disciplined for those posts or not? You also don't know who is warning what. Besides, only posts that are reported get warned, no?

Because like, all of SYG is moderated solely by me and my interpretation of things, right? I'm just ignoring everything else.
