Okay so my short story from before about me being a genetic counselor today. So without going into too much detail...
being nerdy
So, under the supervision of a tenured genetic counselor, I had the pleasure of telling a couple today they shouldn't worry about having a child with color blindness. It's an X linked genetic disorder that is disproportionally male (of course though lol) and both parents are carriers (I even spent weeks making a pedigree!) so this proposed child will have a little less than 0.5% chance for the disorder if female and about an 8% chance if male. They thanked me for their time and said they'll try sometime later today
I'll never understand why people resort to comments like "bad tastes" or mental illness or whatever to explain why people like something they think is trash. That's not even an argument. That's a logically fallacy and a refusal to acknowledge that people can have different opinion from you.

If I open my mouth as little as possible and eat like a chipmunk I can avoid the pain of this bracket in my mouth. It is literally lacerating my cheeks every normal bite I take or word I say. I have tissues ready for blood if I know I'm telling a long story to a friend
